About this Programme:
The purpose of this approved training programme is to enable participants to understand the requirements and expectations of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse National Policy & Procedures. The programme specifically explores in detail the role of the Designated Officer and the requirements to undertake preliminary screenings. The programme provides guidance on the key practice considerations of effective safeguarding approaches. The primary focus of the programme is to explore practice approaches that effectively contribute to safeguarding vulnerable persons at risk of abuse.
Online Programme Details
The Online Live Learning Event will comprise of 2 x 3.5 hour live online sessions with both facilitators present. The online sessions will be a week apart. The online programme is limited to 15 participants to ensure detailed engagement and interaction. In order for participants to receive their certificate of completion, which is required by the HSE National Safeguarding Office;
• Participants will be required to undertake pre reading preparation (2 hours)
• Participants will be required to attend two online live sessions (9.30 am – 1.00pm) with their camera and audio on (7 hours)
• Participants will be required to undertake a preliminary screening case task in between sessions (3 hours)
• Participants will to do a reflective learning and evaluation write up post the programme (1 hour)
